Choice Hotels' supplier diversity program was created to identify and develop opportunities for diverse suppliers, mentor and develop diverse business owners, educate our associates and foster inclusionary procurement practices with our prime suppliers.
The mission of our supplier diversity program is to integrate supplier diversity practices into our procurement process and to support the growth and development of minority and woman suppliers.
Corporate Procurement
For corporate purchases, Choice Hotels' Supplier Diversity Program provides a means for associates to find diverse minority and women owned business. In turn, the vendors then become part of the corporate procurement process.
Choice does not own or operate any hotels. Choice Hotels' Supplier Diversity Program only supports those purchases made by our corporate headquarters.
Supplier Qualification Criteria
Potential suppliers will be evaluated on qualification criteria to determine suitability for Choice Hotels' supplier diversity program. It is imperative for suppliers to meet Choice's business and service delivery requirements.

Business Requirements
- A for-profit business enterprise which is at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled by individuals who belong to the following groups:
- Women
- African American
- Asian American
- Hispanic American
- Native American
- Pacific American
- Have a minimum of 2 years of business history
- Service one of our 4 office locations in Phoenix, AZ, Silver Spring, MD, Minot, ND, Grand Junction, CO
- Have a professional business location and be able to provide the business address if requested
- Be able to provide a certificate of insurance evidencing the insurance coverage is appropriate for the level and type of business conducted with Choice Hotels.
- Have and maintain a minimum of one W-2 employees.
- Be able to provide a completed W-9 form if requested
- Proven track record and references
- Have core competencies that match Choice Hotels' needs
- Timely response to RFPs
- Offer competitive pricing
- Meet or exceed Choice's standard of quality
- Company/business number must have a live operator or voice messaging system. Must return voice messages within 24 hours.
- Provide excellent customer service
