| Things To Do: Kona Coffee Cultural FestivalNov 2010 (annual)The town of Kailua-Kona gives its name to the coffee liqueur. Most of America's coffee farms are located in the vicinity and during the Kona Coffee Cultural Festival visitors can tour farms and sample plenty of delicious fresh coffee. This is Hawaii's oldest food festival, with a wonderful parade at the end of the week. Most events are free once you've purchased a "button", which costs about US$2 and can be bought at all the major events and at various stores all over Kona.
Events include the Kona Coffee Recipe Contest, a golf tournament and the Kona Association for the Performing Arts Council Concert in the Park.
Please visit the festival website for full details of the programme. |
