| Things To Do: Dallas Veterans Day ParadeNov 2010 (annual)Every year towns and cities across the USA pay tribute to those who have fought for their country. Dallas honours its veterans at the Veterans Day Parade, which travels down to City Hall with military units and high school bands. Proceedings begin at 11am in Dallas City Hall Plaza, where the Eleventh Hour ceremony takes place, featuring a symbolic wreath-laying, a Missing Man formation military flyover and speeches from civil and military leaders. Various veteran organisations are also represented. The parade follows the ceremony and begins on Main Street. |
