Choice Hotels International FoundationThe Choice Hotels International Foundation was established in January of 2000 in order to formalize and focus the company's philanthropic giving. The goals of the Foundation have been enhanced to include guiding the company's overall corporate social responsibility strategy. Our mission is to give back to the communities in which we live and operate by supporting programs that provide food and shelter to those in need, enhance and enrich educational efforts and promote the growth and development of tourism. The Choice Hotels International Foundation will support these efforts by actively engaging our associates and franchisees through volunteerism and philanthropic giving. The Choice Hotels International Foundation grants funds to charitable organizations that meet the Foundation's guidelines and are located in the areas where Choice Hotels International has a corporate presence. The primary areas of focus that define the Foundation's giving are: | Providing shelter and food to those in need | | Supporting the educational efforts of schools, workforce entry organizations and the hospitality industry | | Promoting the growth and development of tourism |
In addition, the Foundation funds a number of associate programs that support the giving and volunteer efforts of the company's associates. These programs include: - Volunteer Matching Program
- Matching Contributions Program
- Scholarship Program for Dependent Children
The Foundation in conjunction with Community Involvement Committees operating in all four Choice office locations, is enhancing volunteerism in the areas where Choice Hotels has a presence. The committees in each location work closely with their respective community non-profits to provide support through volunteerism and other service activities, such as collection drives. To be eligible for support, an organization or institution must meet the Grant Eligibility Guidelines.
