Hwy. 16, 4 miles south of Loop 410 (tel. 210/628-1499); it's the self-proclaimed "home of the fastest half-mile NASCAR oval in Texas." Admission runs $10 for adults, $3 for ages 7 to 11, free for 6 and younger.

Baseball -- From early April through early September, the minor-league San Antonio Missions plays at the Nelson Wolff Stadium, 5757 Hwy. 90 W. Most home games for this Seattle Mariners farm club start at 7:05pm, except Sunday games, which start at 4:05pm. Tickets range from $6 for adult general admission to $9 for seats in the lower box.
