The fun includes live music, oyster shucking (opening) and eating competitions. Kids can take part in the "Best Dressed Oyster" contest.Oysters are sold by the bucket (around three or four dozen) at market price and served with cocktail sauce and crackers at Charleston's Lowcountry Oyster Festival. Local restaurants are out in full force, showcasing their goodies for those who don't like the slimy stars of the show. |
