|  |  AFI Los Angeles International Film FestivalThe AFI Los Angeles Film Festival, held at the ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood and other venues around Hollywood Boulevard, is Los Angeles' largest and most prominent film festival.Featuring international competitions for features and documentaries, shorts, independent films and a wide range of regional spotlights, it is also one of the best chances to catch up on the latest international cinema in a town not widely known for its interest in the outside world.
Features, documentaries and shorts in 35mm, 16mm and video are the festival's stock-in-trade and there are prizes for new directors and writers, actors and cinematography. There are also Audience Awards in each category and a Grand Jury Prize.
