|  |  Pikes Peak or Bust RodeoThe Pikes Peak rodeo kicks off with a parade through downtown Colorado Springs before the real fun starts in the Norris Penrose Event Center. Among the hair-raising events are bareback horse riding, steer wrestling and saddle bronco riding.Other events include tie-down roping, women's barrel racing and perhaps the scariest of them all, the famous bull riding. The rodeo offers a US$13,000 purse for each event and always attracts a leading field of competitors. |
