Multi-string guitar maestro Charlie Hunter plays at Yoshi's in San Francisco. Expect material from his most recent album, Baboon Strength, released last year.

San Francisco native Charlie Hunter had his first seven-string guitar (combining bass strings and guitar strings) made for him in the late Eighties. He played with Michael Franti in The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy before leading his own trio, releasing an eponymous debut album in 1994.

As one of the few simultaneous guitar and bass players in the world, Hunter has worked with a variety of artists on many jazz, funk and groove projects.
