The event has become established as the region's cultural jewel and is heading for the major league of North American festivals. Recent years have seen around 200,000 visitors.
New Haven is also the home of Yale University, where visitors can get a glimpse of life in the Ivy League. The architecture and the grounds of the university are beautiful and worth a look.
