| | Kennedy Space CenterThe Kennedy Space Center, the scene of some of the world's most famous rocket launches, offers visitors a range of exhibits to expand the mind. Not just a playground for space geeks, the displays are a testament to man's ingenuity.Admission includes a tour of "restricted" areas as well as admission to all shows and movies at the complex. Visitors may also opt for the more expensive Special Interest Tours, which include viewing of the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo launch pads.
Among the exhibits featured at the Visitor's Complex is an interactive question and answer period where an astronaut is scheduled to appear every day of the year. There is an IMAX Theatre, full-scale mock-ups of space-station modules, a 60-foot observation tower from which to view the space shuttle launch pads and the actual (Saturn V) 363-foot moon rocket. There is even a full-size replica of a space shuttle orbiter that you can climb aboard and explore; a place for space exploration on earth. |
