Return to previous Page ›Bourbon-producing state par excellence, Kentucky celebrates its famous export with an alcoholic extravaganza at this annual festival in Bardstown. The six-day event delves into the making of bourbon, the eating of bourbon-flavoured food and plenty of drinking.
Aside from the mandatory sampling of the liquor, the programme has included tours of distilleries and museums, demonstrations of bourbon cookery and auctions of vintage bourbon. The evenings feature a host of live concerts.
This is the USA - even if you are over 21, bring proof of age to ensure you are allowed to sample some of the local tipple.
