Spend a relaxing October afternoon at Jazz in the Vines, set in the verdant Tyrell's Vineyard of the Hunter Valley, New South Wales. Fill your ears with sultry live jazz sounds and your glass with some fine local wine.
Some of Australia's internationally acclaimed winemakers - such as Tyrrell's, Tamburlaine, Bimbadgen, Drayton's and the Hunter Valley Wine Society - are on site with their best bottles. The region also boasts some of the best food in Australia and the finest menus can be sampled for only a few dollars, on offer from local award-winning restaurants.
The music menu in 2008 included James Morrison, Renee Geyer, Glenn Shorrock, John Morrison's Swing City Big Band, Lisa Hunt, Force 10 and Adam Miller. Keep an eye on the festival website for upcoming line-up announcements.
For jazz fanatics from the Hunter region, there is a special bus laid on to the event.
