Flickerfest, Australia's premier short film festival, tours the country after its opening at Sydney's Bondi Beach Pavilion. Here, it arrives at Darwin's BCC Cinema 5.
In addition to the annual focus on Australian shorts - in which there are enough for four separate programmes - the festival offers an international competition, with entries from as far afield as Romania, Thailand and Brazil.
There are no fewer than 15 awards, from best film to best Australian short and best documentary, as well as industry awards and cash prizes.
The festival has been officially recognised as a qualifying event for the Best Short film and Best Animation Oscars ®.
