|  |  Easter DisplayThe Longwood Gardens horticultural centre near Philadelphia celebrates the arrival of spring with a display of flowering plants and a series of activities, including workshops for children.Lilies fill the conservatory with their signature fragrance and stately flowers. Blue, pink, and white hydrangeas border the indoor lawns, while marguerites and blue daisies weave through spires of delphiniums. Outdoors, acres of burgeoning gardens feature tulips, daffodils, magnolias, azaleas and flowering cherries, while thousands of bulbs sprout in the grass.
The children's garden has interactive fountains, a plant maze and a plant hunt programme that allows even the most seasoned explorers to brush-up their horticultural identification skills. Educational activities and story readings complete the programme. |
