| | The MadCat Women's International Film FestivalThe MadCat Women's International Film Festival is a festival of experimental, independent film and video work. A touring event, it screens movies at several locations in the Bay Area before a national tour.Described as "more femme than feminist", MadCat screens films and videos in all genres - narrative, experimental, documentary, animation and more. There are very few guidelines; the only rule is that the films must be directed by women. The programme is arranged thematically, however, and the emphasis is firmly on innovative filmmaking rather than feminist diatribes. |
