Tour the underground caves inside Grotto Mountain. Visitors descend into the caves with experienced guides who will interpret the fascinating natural history of the area.
Canmore Caverns Limited provides the customer with all the necessary equipment for the caving experience: lights, helmets, harnesses, coveralls, kneepads and gloves. They will take you on a 25-minute walk to the cave entrance, then on either a cave tour or an adventure tour. The adventure tour is more demanding and uses techniques such as rappelling to reach more challenging passages.
Canmore is a beautiful and vibrant town situated in Alberta's Rocky Mountains. With stunning views of the mountains, superb accommodation facilities and easy access to countless activities and adventures, it is a great alternative to some of the more popular Rocky Mountain Resorts. With the caves only one and half hours from Calgary by car, this is also a perfect day trip for anyone based in the area.
