|  |  New Zealand Film Festival: New PlymouthAs part of the countrywide tour, New Plymouth hosts its leg of the New Zealand Film Festival, which visits 15 towns and cities. The screenings draw on the same stock of around 120 full-length film features and even more shorts.The programme takes in the highlights of a wide range of international festivals and does a very good job of balancing the film buff's wish list with the needs of more mainstream audiences.
