|  |  Ocean Drive Marathon & 10-MilerThe annual Ocean Drive Marathon & 10-Miler is run along Atlantic City's scenic coastal road, including the famous boardwalk. The event features a 10-mile as well as a 5Km race, for those who are feeling less energetic.The Ocean Drive Marathon course begins in Victorian Cape May City, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and continues, via the Ocean Drive, over four drawbridges through the Wildwoods (where you run the length of its famous Boardwalk) on into the island communities of Stone Harbor and Avalon, and finishes on the Promenade in Sea Isle City.
The 10-Miler is run in conjunction with the marathon, finishing at the 10-mile mark on the Boardwalk in North Wildwood. In addition, there is a slightly more relaxing 5Km run, on an out-and-back course from the marathon finish line on the Promenade at JFK Boulevard in Sea Isle City.
If that's still too much for you, the 1.5-mile promenade is a non-competitive event starting at the conclusion of the 5Km run. Kids of all ages are invited to run, jog or walk the promenade in Sea Isle City just for the fun of it. |
