The new Hamilton Street Circuit hosts the only New Zealand leg of the V8 Supercar Championship series. Around 80,000 spectators regularly turn up to watch the frenetic three-day event, which climaxes on the Sunday with two 100km races.
The Hamilton Street Circuit is 3.4km long and snakes through the Frankton business district. If you want to catch a glimpse of the action, spectators can watch the start-finish line and pit stops from the ticketed area, which stretches across Waikato stadium, Mill Street and Henemoa and Sneddon parks.
The latter is also the venue for live music concerts, which take place each evening during the event and are free to all ticket holders.
