The Sleeping Beauty

The Royal Ballet revives Ninette de Valois and Nicholas Sergeyev's classic production of Tchaikovsky's The Sleeping Beauty, first seen at Sadler's Wells in 1946. It was magnificently restaged in the Royal Ballet's 75th birthday year, 2006.

The Tsarina's Slippers at the Garden

Bringing together both the Royal Ballet and Royal Opera, all too rarely seen together, Francesco Zambello directs the Covent Garden première of Tchaikovsky's Cherevichki (The Tsarina's Slippers). Alastair Marriott choreographs and Alexander Polianichko conducts.

Messiah at ENO

At the end of Handel's 250th anniversary year, Deborah Warner returns to English National Opera to stage performances of Messiah at the London Coliseum. Laurence Cummings conducts Sophie Bevan, Catherine Wyn Rogers, John Mark Ainsley and Brindley Sherratt.
