Getting There -- Terra Nova is located on the Trans-Canada Highway. It's about 232km (144 miles) from St. John's, and 609km (378 miles) from Port aux Basques.

Visitor Information -- Visitor information is available at the Visitor's Centre (tel. 709/533-2942 or 533-2801) at the Saltons Day-Use Area, about 3.5km (2 miles) north of the Newman Sound Campground. It's open daily, Victoria Day long weekend to Canadian Thanksgiving from 9am to 4pm. From the last day of school until Labour Day it is open from 9am to 7pm. In the off-season, it is open Thursday to Monday from 11am-3pm (excluding the month of December).

Fees -- A park entry fee is required of all visitors, including hikers, picnickers and campers. Daily fees are C$5.45 adults, C$4.70 seniors, C$2.70 children 6 to 16, and C$13.60 family. Annual passes are available at a special discounted rate before June 30th. Contact the park for details. Fees may be paid at the Visitor Centre. (Fees subject to change annually).
