Special Events

Highly popular annual occasions are the Brimfield Antique and Collectible Shows (tel. 800/628-8379 or 508/347-2761), when over 6,000 dealers gather along a mile-long strip for up to 6 days (Tues-Sun) in mid-May, mid-July, and early September. Brimfield is an otherwise sleepy village adjoining Sturbridge on the west. Because it has few hotels, most of the dealers and seekers stay in Sturbridge, so you'll need to reserve your room at least 6 months in advance during show periods.

Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks at Old Sturbridge Village bring traditional New England dinners, concerts, and candlelit nights. Call tel. 800/733-1830 or 508/347-3362 for details.
