Biking -- An early morning ride down the boardwalk is traditional for lots of families. Cyclists on Coastal Highway share a lane with the buses. A headlight and rear reflector are required on all bicycles on the road after dark. Boardwalk biking is allowed between 5 and 10am during the summer, and anytime in the off season. Rental rates vary, but expect to pay between $4 and $6 an hour for a two-wheeler, $10 an hour for a tandem, and $7 for "funcycles" (recumbent tricycles).
