It's less than 10 miles north of town on Route 13. By Car -- Ithaca is about a 4-hour drive from New York City. The nearest major highways are I-81, which travels north to Syracuse, and Route 17, which heads west to Corning. Routes 13 and 96B head directly into Ithaca. By Bus -- Greyhound stops in Ithaca at the Brenda Wallace Bus Terminal, 710 W. State St. (tel. 800/231-2222 or 607/272-7930); Shortline Bus (tel. 800/631-8405 or 607/277-8800) travels to Ithaca, also stopping at 710 W. State St., as well as Elmira, from New York City.
