Getting There

By Plane -- There are two daily flights between Stockholm and Växjö, arriving at the Växjö Airport, 9km (5 1/2 miles) north of the center. For flight information, call tel. 0470/75-92-10.

By Train -- There are train connections from Gothenburg, leaving at 7am daily and arriving in Växjö at noon; from Malmö, leaving at 6:14am and arriving in Växjö at 12:18pm.

Trains arrive hourly throughout the day from Kalmar. Call tel. 771/75-75-75.

By Bus -- From Stockholm, buses leave Monday to Saturday (take Express Bus) at 9am and 4pm; Sunday noon, 1:30pm, 3pm, and 5pm. Call tel. 771/67-67-67.

By Car -- From Stockholm, take E4 south to Norrköping, then continue south along E66 to Kalmar. At Kalmar, head west on Route 25.

Visitor Information

The Växjö Tourist Information Office, Stadsbiblioteket, Västra Esplanaden 7 (tel. 0470/414-10), is open mid-June to mid-August Monday to Friday 9:30am to 6pm, Saturday 10am to 2pm, and Sunday 10am to 2pm; off season, it's open Monday to Friday 9:30am to 4:30pm.
