| Things To Do: Green Streets Day27 Nov 2009 (monthly)With its monthly Green Streets Day, Portland, Maine thinks globally by starting locally. Held on the last Friday of every month, the incentive encourages people to wear something green and get around by using alternate transportation. Green Streets Day is a grassroots effort that grew from environmental, health, safety, economic, and community building reasons. During the event people are also encouraged to celebrate and encourage green incentives by signing in for freebies, discounts, & raffle items from local businesses.
