| Things To Do: Annual PowwowNov 2010 (annual)The American Indian Center of Chicago invites visitors to celebrate the rich heritage of Native American cultures at its Annual Powwow, held at the UIC Pavilion in Illinois University on Chicago's Near West Side. This annual three-day event offers a chance to learn about indigenous cultures, featuring singing and dancing Native American-style, arts and crafts vendors and opportunities for visitors and guests to join in the celebrations. Cash prizes are awarded in a variety of dance categories. |
