Women's Business AllianceThe Choice Hotels Women's Business Alliance was founded in 2004 to recognize the contributions of women leaders in all industries, particularly the travel industry. What began as a small gathering of women hotel owners at our company's convention has grown into a formal organization to provide women leaders a supportive environment to professionally grow and network with other women business owners and managers. The Women's Business Alliance is about our women franchisees and associates. It is about tapping into their potential to grow their businesses, enhance their skills, expand their knowledge, extend their business connections and more. It is a resource - a place to establish business relationships and build friendships. It is also an opportunity for these successful businesswomen to share their expertise and experience with one another. The Women's Business Alliance Scholarship Program was also launched in 2004. The Scholarship, funded by the Choice Hotels International Foundation, is a means to encourage and assist women interested in beginning or furthering a career in the hospitality industry. College scholarships in the amount of $2,000 will be awarded each year to deserving females with an interest in or link to the hospitality industry. Both undergraduate and post-graduate students are eligible to apply for this award. Awards must be competed for annually.
