Morro Bay welcomes the public for a veritable seafood feast at the Morro Bay Harbor Festival. Additional beach entertainment features live music including swing, blues, jazz, big band and alternative sounds.
Among the sandpit competitions, rock climbing events and Cadillac exhibitions, the seafood enthusiast is well served. Local specialities include king salmon, sole and several types of rockfish (also known as Pacific snapper), as well as swordfish, squid and albacore tuna.
After you've eaten your fill, why not meet the harbour fleet, go for a boat tour or shop at the California Fresh Fish display. There are even fish-print activities for kids.
