The sister event to Switzerland's Art Basel, Art Basel Miami Beach claims to be the biggest contemporary art event in the United States. Over 250 leading galleries bring their paintings, drawings, sculptures and more to the Miami Beach Convention Center.
Also bringing together installations, photography, video, multimedia art and performances, works by hundreds of artists are exhibited by galleries from Europe, America, Asia and Australia.
The display spans the broad sweep from masters of classical modern art to protagonists of contemporary art, including raw new talent. A programme of art in public places rounds out the schedule.
The official event list is published at the beginning of September on the Art Basel Miami Beach website.
