The focus is on art and design associated with the Modernist movements of the 20th century.The show features furniture, jewellery, decorative and fine arts and clothing from the realms of arts & crafts, Bauhaus, Art Nouveau, Cubism, Pop Art, Futurism, Art Deco, Moderne, Memphis and more.
Los Angeles is a particularly fertile hunting ground for connoisseurs of 20th-century art and design, home as it is to such icons as Richard Neutra's houses of the 1940s and the Brown Derby restaurant, to say nothing of the contemporary work of Frank Gehry.
