 Artissima International Fair of Contemporary ArtNov 2010 (annual)International contemporary art fair Artissima brings about 200 emerging galleries from around the world to Turin Lingotto. The event offers paintings, drawings, sculptures, installations, videos, photographs and performances. There are several sections within the fair. Present Future is dedicated to emerging artists - four museum curators have selected 16 young artists under 40 to stage a monographic exhibition, with a prize for the most original. New Entries is a competition addressed to all galleries established after 2001, with a demonstrable track record in the promotion of experimental art, while Constellation covers large artworks, selected by the Fair Scientific Committee.
The programme also includes Black Curtains, screening around 40 films, and Listen to the Writer, a guided tour of the fair by art critics and journalists who take the public on a personalised journey through contemporary art. |
