The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) fields a Conference USA team, the Miners, that plays from December to March at the Don Haskins Center, 2801 N. The UTEP Miners football squad plays a Conference USA schedule from September to December on campus at the Sun Bowl. Single-game tickets are $10 to $50. Horse Racing

There is live horse racing just outside of western El Paso (actually in New Mexico) at Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino, 1200 Futurity Dr. (tel. 505/874-5200). The racing season runs from December to April (simulcast racing from around the country is featured year-round). There are also restaurants, lounges, and a casino on-site.
