Six Flags Over Texas opened in Arlington in 1961 as the United States' first regional theme park. Today the park entertains thousands with nearly 50 thrill rides, from rollercoasters and tower drops to bumper cars and a carousel.
The most extreme rides include Batman the Ride, Mr Freeze, Superman: Tower of Power, and Dive Bomber Alley. For something a little milder, try Boomtown Depot or Chaparral Antique Cars or Looney Tunes Bumper Cars for smaller kids. Whatever your age and thrill limit, there's entertainment for all, from concerts to circuses and nightly parades. In addition, there are special events, a wide choice of food, shopping and games.
