Held across three days, the 158th Toowoomba Royal Show promises plenty for young and old, from traditional equestrian, hotrod shows and side alley rides to new guests and events. Museums

Wander explore the rich assemblage of vintage trains and rolling stock, including steam and diesel locomotives. The state-of-the-art Cobb and Co Museum house an immersive collection of history and technology, from historic horse-drawn carts to space exploration.

Toowoomba has a great range of restaurants and eateries to visit with the family.
If that’s enough to work up an appetite, you find plenty of family-friendly restaurants and eateries. The Merignandan Hotel is a local favourite for families, with outdoor eating and great pub food. There are many things to do in Toowoomba for free as well. Known as the Garden City, Toowoomba is home to beautiful gardens and parks. Explore the lake and waterfall in the Japanese Garden or picnic amongst the stunning floral beds in Queens Park and Botanic Gardens. Picnic Point Parklands lookout has sweeping views of the Great Dividing Range, overlooking Main Range and the Lockyer Valley, with plenty of bushwalking trails.

Don’t miss the Toowoomba Famers Markets, held every Saturday under the windmills of the Cobb and Co Museum. The Toowoomba Makers Market is another great place to browse for local treasures, food and goods.
