If you only have time to visit one site, a popular destination for tourists is the Saratoga National Historical Park, a site that commemorates the Battle of Saratoga where the emerging U.S. fought for its first victory against the British army in 1777. This park comprises of three regions: the Schuyler House, the home of the American general who commanded the charge; the battlefield, offering trails to endless landmarks; and the Saratoga Monument, which marks the scene of the British surrender. The latter two sites are situated roughly 7 miles going north of the battlefield.
