This lush 110-acre haven to more than 2,500 species of native and exotic plants is located in the heart of Fort Worth’s Cultural District. The garden was established in 1934 and contains 21 specialty gardens. It is open daily and charges only an admission fee for the Conservatory (10,000 square feet of tropical displays of orchids, bromeliads, and trees) and the seven-acre Japanese Garden which was originally established 1970. The Fort Worth Japanese Garden exhibits three koi ponds where you can feed thousands of exotic Imperial Carp, waterfall, bridges, teahouse, pagoda, pavilions and a meditation garden.
