Who can apply to become an affiliate?
We welcome affiliate marketers from anywhere in the world. Choice Hotels will be working with a limited number of high-quality, professional sites targeting travel audiences. Anyone may submit an application, but we do reserve the right to refuse membership to a site or revoke a site's membership at any time if we deem that it contains objectionable material or does not follow Choice marketing guidelines.
How do I earn commission?
When you drive visitors to www.choicehotels.com from your marketing efforts, you receive a 5 percent commission for each completed stay**. We offer a 7-day referral (commission) window for users that come through your site to research hotels, and then return directly to the Choice Hotels website to book a reservation.
And, you can earn commissions on your own stays at Choice Hotels® properties if you book your rooms via our link on your Web site.
How often do you pay commissions?
We pay commissions monthly, once you've earned $25 USD in commissions per payment cycle.
How do I track my commissions and view and change my account information?
We provide our affiliates with a link to a reporting Web site that is updated every Monday. You can use this website to track click-throughs, completed stays and commissions earned. You can also view and update your account information via this website.
How does joining the Choice Hotels affiliate program enhance my Web site?
The primary objective of the affiliate program is to share revenue. While the intention of the program is not specifically to increase traffic to your site, your search engine placement and the rate of users returning to your site may be improved when you add the choicehotels.com link to your website.
Do I need to handle any part of the hotel reservation process?
We handle the entire reservation process including billing and customer service. All you do is promote our hotels on your Web site. We do the rest!
How do I create links to www.choicehotels.com?
Links should be placed in highly-visible locations on your Web site. We suggest your homepage, navigation bar and other frequently-viewed areas. The more people that see the link, the better your chances are for earning commissions.
It is important that you use the link provided by Choice Hotels. This link will be "tagged" with a unique identifier so that every time a user comes to us via your site, we know to credit you for the completed stay.
Can affiliates have multiple sites under one account?
Many of our affiliates operate two or more websites! We provide you with customized choicehotels.com links for each of your sites and generate separate reports for each site. You will receive one combined commission check for all sites.
**A stay is considered complete upon check-out by the guest for the hotel stay booked through the Choice Hotels affiliate program. If credit card charges are reversed due to a dispute or credit card fraud, your account will be debited for any commission earned on that transaction.
