A “TWO-OF-A-KIND” FACILITY
Opened in 2009, the main stadium at Camelback Ranch is the largest in the spring-training Cactus League. It holds 13,000 people with 10,500 seats and lawn seating for another 3,000 people. The complex actually spans 141 acres with more than 118,000 square feet of clubhouse space, and includes picturesque walking trails and over 5,000 plants and trees—including an orange grove.
A 1,300-foot, 5-acre lake system with river separates the training facilities, which include the main stadium, 12 practice diamonds, and three half-field practice infields. Two of the practice fields are replicas of the team’s home fields, with the exact dimensions of U.S. Cellular Field and Dodger Stadium. Fans can even get Dodger Dogs at the complex.
Camelback Ranch is also home to two of the teams’ minor league affiliates. Plus, the facility hosts the annual Fantasy Camp every January for those people who want to experience life as a big-leaguer! A day of living life as a pro baseball player can easily leave you exhausted, so consider booking a stay at one of the Camelback Ranch hotels.
Nearby attractions include the Phoenix pro hockey team home ice at Gila River Arena, the Arizona pro football team’s home gridiron at University of Phoenix Stadium, the Tanger Outlet Westgate shopping center, and much more.
