AMAZING ART—INSIDE, OUTSIDE AND ALL AROUND
The art experience actually starts outside the airport, as the CONRAC parking and rental facility highlights artist Christian Moeller’s “Hands” mural, featuring the hands of people from the area. The mural is on the outside of the facility and can be seen from more than a mile away.
Inside the airport, visitors find both permanent and changing exhibits. One of the most notable is a 20 ft. x 30 ft. mural created by artist Millard Sheets nearly 40 years ago, commissioned as a gift to the people of San Jose by the local newspaper. The mural includes scenes paying tribute to the area’s heritage, in celebration of the city’s 200th birthday.
