Hillsville’s biggest attraction is the annual VFW Flea Market & Gun Show, known as the largest flea market east of the Mississippi River. Held twice a year—on Memorial Day and on Labor Day—each event attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors. Sponsored by the VFW Grover King Post 1115, the show is a great place to find deals on antiques, furniture, books, records, guns, clothes, and many other items.
