Warner Robins' Museum of Aviation is the second-largest of its kind in the country. It features 93 aircraft, including the SR-71A Blackbird, which holds the record for being the fastest aircraft in the world. There are also fighter planes, helicopters, antique flying machines like the 1896 Chanute Glider and a collection of missiles and drones. Stop by the E.L. Greenway Welcome Center, which is also an historic 1944 train depot and designated as a National Historic Registry site.
At Mildred's Country Store, adjacent to the E.L. Greenway Welcome Center, visitors can see many local antiques and artifacts from the early 1900s. Enjoy the Ted Wright Memorial Park, which offers basketball, baseball, volleyball and tennis courts, as well as picnic areas and horseshoe pits. There is an activity center within the park as well. International City Golf Club is an 18-hole public golf course owned and operated by the city of Warner Robins. You can play the whole course, test out your swing in a practice facility or take a lesson from a pro.
Families can try Johnny G's Fun Center, an entertainment center featuring batting cages, go-karts, arcade games, miniature golf and more. If you need a break, there is also an area with giant flat-screen TVs and Wi-Fi, where you can enjoy a snack or wait for the kids to get their fill of jumping and running around. The Warner Robins Little Theatre is another family-friendly attraction, offering first-rate productions of classics by Tennessee Williams and other great American dramatists. Comedy, drama and even some musicals can all be found here.
