A CONVENTION CENTER AT THE CENTER OF EVERYTHING
Located adjacent to the Louisville International Airport, the Kentucky Exposition Center opened in 1956. In the early years, legendary musicians such as Elvis, The Beach Boys and The Jackson 5 performed at Freedom Hall—which also served as home to the University of Louisville men’s basketball team until the early 1970s. The Center continues to host major tradeshows and events, including the North American International Livestock Exposition and the National Farm Machinery Show.
The massive complex also includes the baseball/football field of Cardinal Stadium, the 18,875-seat Freedom Hall, and Broadbent Arena. The arena holds 6,600 people and features 1,000 permanent horse stalls, 720 temporary stalls and has capacity for livestock.
Visitors will naturally want to explore Louisville—just seven minutes away—for its unique attractions, such as Churchill Downs Racetrack, the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, and the Muhammad Ali Center.
