For outdoor recreation, Shallotte District Park is located just outside of town and features a basketball court, picnic shelters and more.

If you want to enjoy more of the Carolina Coast, Shallotte is just a short drive from the cities of Wilmington and Myrtle Beach which makes it easy to enjoy the arts, culture, entertainment and excitement in those cities. Stroll along the waterfront and view historic homes in Wilmington, or travel to Myrtle Beach to spend a day on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade.
