After extensive renovations, the main West Campus was named one of “The World’s Most Beautiful College Campuses” by Forbes, Delta Sky and Travel + Leisure magazines. For the past two decades, the university has committed to a strategic architectural plan to bring worldwide attention to the campus, incorporating its Gothic architecture, as well as stone and art deco improvements.
The school has also achieved prominence for its intercollegiate sports programs. As a member of the American Athletic Conference, the university boasts 19 Division I-level athletic teams known as the “Bearcats.” The men’s basketball program is one of the 20 all-time best when it comes to winning games, and has won two national championships. The women’s dance team is also one of the top programs in the country, having won five national championships.
