The Rocky Point Recreation Area is about 11 miles from our hotel and is a perfect spot for warm-weather fun, including boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming and volleyball. The recreation area is on the 8,000-acre Belle Fourche, which is where you will also find the Orman Dam, which was built in 1911. The dam was designated a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark in 1989. More area outdoor fun can be found year-round at Black Hills National Forest, Terry Peak Ski Area and in Deadwood, known for its western heritage.
