The bay includes a boat launch, an assortment of wildlife and a museum, and it still remains as a major attraction. A 75-minute cruise excursion is offered on the Madaket – the oldest boat in operation in the country. The Bay is known for being the state’s only open-ocean boat launch – and is a favored among fisherman who like hunting crabs, perch, bat rays, jacksmelt, clams, native halibut, leopard sharks and salmon. The city boasts an art walk centered near F and 2nd streets every first Saturday of the month. The walk offers local artwork from roughly 80 venues and performances by poets, street entertainers and musicians.
