Visiting Ohio Stadium: Your Game Day Guide
Visiting the Stadium
Known around town as “Horseshoe Stadium” or simply “the Shoe” by sports fans, Ohio Stadium is one of the bucket list venues for many college football fans. It can hold up to 100,000 people—so you’re sure to meet some new friends as you cheer from the stands.
What to Bring
If you want to fit in, you’ll need to wear team colors—scarlet and grey—and you’ll truly feel like part of the magic. And, don’t forget to dress in layers so that you’re never too hot or too cold. Football season is known for its varying weather, and this is an open-air stadium.
Gameday Parking
Parking on-campus puts you closest to the stadium, but you’ll need to bring cash and come early to secure a spot. If you want to avoid the hassle, you can park on the West Campus. Another option is to catch a ride from the Ohio Expo Center downtown—or the Crosswoods Park and Ride if you’re coming from north Columbus.
