Built in 1983 and extensively renovated in 2011, BC Place has played host to some of the largest sporting events in the world. It served as the main venue for the 2010 Winter Olympics and 2010 Winter Paralympics and has seen 10 CFL Grey Cups held on its grounds. In other words, 54,000 fans swarming the site for international soccer matches is exactly what the stadium was built for.

Renovations added over 1,000 LCD screens throughout the complex, allowing visitors to follow games no matter where they are, expansive luxury seating, and most notably, the largest retractable roof in the world. Fans can feast on a wide variety of delicious food, including slow roasted prime rib sandwiches, foot long lobster rolls, and butter chicken, alongside traditional burgers, hot dogs, and fries. The exterior of BC Place also lights up every evening; the Northern Lights, as they are called, illuminate downtown Vancouver with varying designs each day.
